Welcome to the website of Lubbock's Troop 505

We are glad you're here!

Scouting can be a terrific influence on a young man's life.  With personal fitness, character development and citizenship training as it's core aims, scouting provides the structure and the environment to help young men prepare for life.  The methods we use to achieve these aims are found in our Ideals, Patrols, Outdoor Program, Advancement, Association with Adults, Personal Growth, Leadership Development, and our Uniform.

If you are looking for a troop home or would just like to learn more about scouting, we would be happy to see you visit during one of our troop meetings.

We meet Monday evenings at 7pm in the Family Ministry Center of LakeRidge United Methodist Church located on 83rd street between Toledo and Salem in the great city of Lubbock, Texas.

We hope to see you return for updates as we build and add new information to our  website.

Let's Get Physicals, Physicals....and Trained!

Posted on May 21 2009 - 11:19am

From Dr. Rogers;

I will offer physicals on a Monday night for adults and boys on June 1. Parents should come early 6:45 and begin filling out the forms. We will try to get everyone completed. For the adults I only want to see the adults attending summer camps as the rest will not need one this year. Not needed for adults for less than 72 hours of camping. As of June 8 any boy with an expired physical will not be allowed to go on campouts. For all I need a copy of their current health insurance card to put in their file with their physical, this is mandatory for summer camp.
